  • Associate Professor to Professor& Head - Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT), Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu-GoI .As a HOD looked after Primary Processing Storage & Handling department and Planning & Monitoring Cell. Acted as an administrative coordinator and Warden Student hostels. Involved in teaching, research and extension.

 

  • Assistant Professor to Associate Professor - Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture & Research Institute, Govt. of Pondicherry. Involved in teaching, research and extension. Acted as student counsellor, Post Graduate Coordinator and exam coordinator.

Published 70 research papers in National and International Journals, authored / Co-   authored more than 16 books/ book chapters. Prepared 40 teaching manuals for the students and trainees. Attended and presented several research papers both at National and International conferences. Presented lead papers and invited talks in many scientific fora.

Designed and fabricated bin cum trap for pulse beetles, Stack LED light trap for warehouses and technology developed for storing turmeric rhizomes- Hermetic storage.

Delivered teaching to Agriculture/ Allied, Food Technology and Food Process Engineering students. Supervised PG / Ph. D students as a guide / Co guide.  Contributed to the creation of many laboratories in the institutes where worked.  Played a key role in signing of many MoU’s both at national and international level. Contributed to the development of two documentary films related to pest management. Served as member in board of studies in many Universities. Served as a chairman/ member in several technical committees.
