The objective of the Course is to create a pool of pest control professionals with capacity to manage pest control operations efficiently and to help them have latest knowledge and understanding of biology, identification, habitats and management of rodents and household insect pests. However for obtaining licence for Commercial Pest Control Operations, 15 days training on Urban Integrated Pest Management at NIPHM has to be completed.

Online Course in Appropriate Pesticide Application Techniques (MOOCs Platform)

Objectives:

  • Promote safe and judicious use of pesticides to protect human health, environment, and non-target organisms.
  • Enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in selecting appropriate nozzles, equipment, and formulations.
  • Train on calibration of sprayers and accurate dosage calculations for effective pest control.
  • Build capacity in modern application techniques (high, low, and ultra-low volume methods).
  • Strengthen understanding of pesticide labels, claims, and regulatory compliance.
  • Encourage bio-intensive and ecological approaches to pest management alongside chemical use.
  • Instil best practices for equipment care, maintenance, and storage safety.
